Minneapolis Teams We find in the gospel of Luke a very important phrase that isn't recorded anywhere else in Scripture. It says, And then Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit
. Wouldn't it be a very special thing to see these words come alive today and experience Jesus rejoicing in the Spirit? But what is the context of this statement, what was going on that brought about such great joy? One reasonable answer is that the sending of Jesus disciples on a short-term mission trip, their success and their safe return is indeed the trigger point for this joyous occasion. We believe that by training, equiping and sending Christians on short-term mission trips Jesus does rejoice. Not only that, He blesses in profound and widespread ways which would otherwise not be possible. In a lost and fallen world the necessity of sharing the truth in love is paramount, in our own communities and indeed worldwide. The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest - Jesus |
